Everyone is reminded of the Harvest Supper and Sale on Saturday evening, Oct. 24. at the United Church of Crawfordsville. Beefburgers, creamed chicken and biscuits as well as pies and salads will be on the menu. All this for a free-will offering. The supper will begin at 4:30 p.m. and run until 6:45 p.m. The auction will start at 7 p.m. with David Erwin as auctioneer. Come and enjoy the fun evening.

The Crawfordsville Community Club and Crawfordsville Lions Club will co-sponsor “The Haunted Campground” at the Crawfordsville Ball Field, east of the Elementary School, Friday, Oct. 27, and Saturday, Oct. 28, from 7-10 p.m. Come join in the fun.

Trick-or-Treat Night is Tuesday, Oct. 31, from 5-8 p.m. The Crawfordsville American Legion will once again sponsor a Halloween costume party starting at 5:30 p.m. at the WACO Elementary School. Prizes will be awarded for pre-school through sixth grade. There will also be an adult class. Refreshments of doughnuts, milk and coffee will follow in the school lunchroom.

On Saturday, Nov. 11, the United Church of Crawfordsville will have a soup supper in the Fellowship Hall. Serving will begin at 4:30p.m. Oyster, potato and chili soup will be on the menu. This is a free-will offering.

The Schantz-Mitchell Legion Post No. 594 will also host a potluck Veterans Day dinner on Sunday, Nov. 12, at the Crawfordsville Legion Hall at noon. Meat, potatoes and drink will be furnished. Please bring a dish to pass.

Correction: The date of the Wyman Community Club for the November meeting was incorrect in the last article; it should have said they will meet Monday, Nov. 6, at the Ainsworth Four Corners.
