The Washington Girls bowled a season-high series of 2156 Saturday at Lewbowski’s Rock and Bowl to defeat Fairfield by 162 pins.

“The girls have shown improvement with every meet this season,” said Coach Deb Tisor.

Dawsen Schluttter rolled 106 pins over her series average to card the Demons high series with a 175-157 for a 332. Rylie Swart knocked down a 179 in her first game for a team high. Swart contributed a second game of 147 for a combined 326, 24 pins over her average. Taylor Northup finished 48 pins over average with a 296 series. Trista Kelly, 290 series, Bailey Brown, 257 series, and Taylor Janecek with a 236 series rounded out the Demons Girls individual rounds.

Going into the Baker format, Washington subbed in Katie Donnolly and rotated players throughout. Washington had Baker games totaling 655 against Fairfield’s 670.

The Demon Boys, playing shorthanded as they have all season, fell to Fairfield 1727 to 2417.

Keaton Zear notched the Demons high game, 192, and high series of 352. Drake Schluetter rolled a 317 series. Tucker Renoux carded a 291 series and Dakota Miller a 208 series.

“The boys had a little bit of a tough time verses Fairfield. Dacota Miller and Keaton Zear both got their averages for the day, but overall the team average was way down,” said Coach Chad Zear.

Washington’s Baker games totaled 552.

“I am extremely proud of our boys. They never gave up. I gave them a goal for the day as a team and they did surpass it,” said Zear. “We only have one week until the state qualifier and there is some work to be done.”
