MT. PLEASANT – The Washington High School girls’ soccer team lost a tough Southeast Conference match on Friday, May 2 at the hands of the Panthers 1 – 0.
“The match went great. We had one mistake and we just couldn’t get any shots in Mt. Pleasant’s goal to make up for it. The girls played well. Stephanie Evans had  four saves and they were outstanding saves. The whole team played well on the field also,” Washington head coach Kyle Collins said.
The Demons fall to 2 – 5 overall, 0 – 3 in conference matches. The Washington girls take the pitch again on Thursday, May 8 at Keokuk, looking to earn their first conference victory and avenge an earlier loss.
