Demon JV girls win their third straight game

TIPTON — The Washington junior varsity girls’ basketball team picked up its third-straight win with a 36-14 victory at Tipton on Saturday.

“Coming off of a big game on Friday night it’s hard to turn around and hop on a bus and go to a non-conference game on Saturday, but I thought we played well,” Washington head coach Jay Zieglowsky said.

Sophomore Sydney Hoffman scored 11 points to lead the Demons (6-6), and she also had three rebounds and two steals. Junior Dema Giardino added seven points and four steals in two quarters of play. Sophomores Dylann Schluetter and Macy Marek scored four points apiece, and Schluetter also had four steals, three assists and three rebounds. Sophomore Rachael Hall and freshman McKayla Miller scored three points apiece. Sophomore Jacy Zieglowsky and freshman Amber Salow both chipped in two points. Sophomore Elle Van Gundy pulled down five rebounds, while sophomore Addison Gaal, sophomore Jordan Stout and Salow each had three boards.
