Demons play hard, but take loss

Dec 18, 2017

The Demon girls would fight hard against Keokuk Friday night, but still wouldn’t come away with a win.

They would end the game 31 - 54 and are 3 - 6 in conference play this season.

“I thought this game showed us that we need to push ourselves more in practice,” head coach Jordan Bentley said. “We showed some streaks of play and were able to make some runs. We struggled to handle the pressure which led to the most turnovers this season.”

Sarah Nacos would again lead on the court with 11 points for the team.

Brooke Stout would be the next highest scorer with 8 points.

The team will focus on improving in practice this week to hopefully end well before Christmas break.

“We have one more game before Christmas break and I know the kids will be ready to work hard and get a victory,” Bentley said.
