The Washington girls basketball team has had a busy week.

They played Burlington at home last Thursday and lost by two points. Saturday they traveled to Solon.

The team lost with a score of 46 to 53.

Senior Morgan Brinning would score 14 points for the team, with Isabel Bailey following up with the next highest amount with seven points.

After that loss, the girls would come back Monday night to get a much needed win. They would beat Liberty 45 - 29.

Senior Sarah Nacos scored 16 points and Brooke Stout would have 14 points on the board. Sophomore Addison Six would score 12 points.

“We played with great effort in both games and last night (Monday) we were extremely relaxed and patience on offense,” head coach Jordan Bentley said. “Both games we rebounded extremely well. We just have to continue to work harder on defense and keep getting better in practice every day.”

The Demons next game will be against Fairfield at home Friday evening.
