The Singmaster House in Keota is one of 11 Washington County historical sites that will be open to visitors from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 9. The home belonged to a member of the Singmaster family. In the late 1800s and early 1900s, the best draft horses that could be bought in the United States were developed by the Singmasters. The other sites that will be open are Blair House, Conger House, DAR Cabin, F Troop Museum, Smith Creek School, St. Mary's Catholic Church, Walnut School and Red Brick School.
