Early Childhood Area plans meetings

Henry/Washington Early Childhood Area will hold the following meetings. Members from the public are welcome to attend.

The Henry/Washington Early Childhood Area Board will meet at 4:30 p.m.  March 20, at the Wayland Community Center, 218 W. Main St. in Wayland.

The Henry/Washington Early Childhood Advisory Committee will meet at 10 a.m. April 11, at the Wayland Community Center, 218 W. Main St. in Wayland.

Early Childhood Iowa is a statewide initiative that provides local funding for programs serving all families with children 0-5 years old. The Henry/Washington ECA Board consists of members representing citizens, elected officials, education, health, human services, faith, business, and consumer. Henry/Washington ECA determines community needs for young children, establishes priorities, and provides funding for local programs offering services to families who reside in both counties. The Board is currently seeking new members from both counties. Citizens interested in board membership can contact Tasha Beghtol at 319-461-1369.
