Extension will brief ag retailers on crop production issues

IOWA CITY — Seed, chemical and fertilizer dealers, agronomists, crop consultants and farm managers have the opportunity to hear the latest information on weed management for 2018 and pest resistance at the 2017 Ag Chemical Dealer Update meeting in Iowa City on Nov. 21.

Topics for the Iowa City Ag Chemical Dealer Update include thresholds for insects, soil health, weed management, and SCN management.

The meeting qualifies for Certified Crop Adviser (CCA) continuing education credits, and recertification for Commercial Pesticide Applicators in categories 1A, 1B, 1C, and 10.

There is a fee to register for the event.

The meeting will be held at the Clarion Highlander Hotel and Conference Center, located at 2525 N. Dodge St. Check-in will open at 8:30 a.m., with coffee and morning refreshments.
