Fight reported at Jail

By Xiomara Levsen | Mar 25, 2013

According to the sheriff department’s call log there was a fight between two inmates on Saturday, March 23 at the Washington County Jail.
Sheriff Jerry Dunbar said that it was a "scuffle" between two inmates. The two inmates that were involved were Billy Morgan and Shane Beebe.
“It happens on occasion,” Dunbar said. “It’s not an unusual occurrence.”
Dunbar said a report was filed and the county attorney, Larry Brock, will look into whether or not charges should be filed.
There are in-house disciplinary actions taken when something like this happens.
“We separate them and put them into lockdown,” Dunbar said. “They are in lockdown for 23 hours at a time.”
Further disciplinary action can be taken depending on instances like not cooperating with staff members, Dunbar said.
“The TV can be taken away and the commissary can be taken away,” he said.
