Four Keota netters receive All-SICL honors

Four Keota athletes were honored when the South Iowa Cedar League released its all-conference volleyball teams recently.

Junior Kelsi Sieren was selected to the All-SICL first team after leading the Eagles to a seventh-place finish in the conference with a 4-6 mark. She ranked sixth in the conference in both kills (136) and blocks (25) in league play, and she also tallied 74 digs.

Sophomore Madison Sheetz was a second team all-conference selection for the Eagles. Her 118 kills in conference play ranked eighth in the league, and her 20 blocks ranked ninth.

Seniors Lexi Sieren and Jade Redlinger received all-conference honorable mention for the Eagles. Sieren’s 122 digs were the third-most in conference play. She was also one of the top servers in the league, ranking third in the conference with her 97.7 percent accuracy. Redlinger’s 270 assists were the fourth-most in conference play. She also served 88.1 percent, and her 37 aces were the fourth-most in the league.
