The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks will host the Northease Goose Lake Rebels at Wellman in a 7 p.m. game.

The Hawks are 2 and 4 after losing to No. 1 Willaimsburg last week. The Rebels are 1 and 5 after losing to Camanche.

Two of the Hawks leading players suffered injuries last Friday. Running back Keaton Duwa left the game with a shoulder injury and quarterback Karson Gingerich was sidelined with a leg injury. Their status is currently questionable for Friday’s game.

The Hawks’ defense has shown steady improvement through the season, but the offense has struggled due to injuries to senior quarterback Karson Gingerich.

The Northeast Rebels rely upon their passing attack for offense. Quarterback Nate Lange has 1,400 yards in passing yardage, but a negative 66 in rushing yards. The big ground gainer is Dakota Stevenson with 295 yards for the year.

Mid-Prairie’s rushing game is led by Keaton Duwa with 618 yards and backup quarterback Brad Tornow has passed for 348 yards, passing up Gingerich.

In other area games:

Sigourney-Keota, 3-3, will host Louisa-Muscatine, 1 and 5.

Columbus Community, 1-5, will host Hghland, 2 and 4 on the season.

WACO, 3-3, hosts Baxter, 5 and 1, for the season.
