Girls sent to camp do program for Chapter D.L./T.T.T. members

Chapter DL/T.T.T. met Aug. 14 in the Nicola Conference Room at Washington County Hospital. Linda McNeil was hostess. Fifthteen members attended.

The 2017 girls the club sent to T.T.T. camp at Camp Wyoming in Wyoming were present and gave a brief program. The campers were: Mya Castro, Kyann Miller, and Elizabeth Rodgers (Pearl Dittrch also went to T.T.T. camp but was unable to attend this meeting). They joyfully shared camp songs, stories and their favorite activity. Refreshments were shared with them before they departed. The members thoroughly enjoyed meeting them and hearing their report.

The members discussed plans for fundraising and elected to continue with the same company to purchase nuts. Members participated in the local Farmer’s Market twice this summer which promoted the nuts sales and the T.T.T. purpose of sending girls to camp.

The 2017-18 officers were elected: vice president – Janet Peterson, treasurer – Cathy Lewis, recording secretary – Linda McNeil, corresponding secretary – Kim Prier, and historian – Martha Hahn. There were no volunteers for president. Phyllis Eisele and Bert Lampkin will be the nominating committee to select a nominee for president.

The next meeting will be Sept. 11 at the home of Cathy Lewis in Coralville. Members who want to car pool will meet at the home of Phyllis Eisele at 6 p.m.
