The sermon was titled “Freed by Christ Alone.” Scripture from John 8:31-36 was shared with those in attendance. Beth Janecek shared her musical talents on the piano.

Several residents recently attended “Main Street Souvenirs” at the Washington Community Center. Nancy Stark, Marcella Reed, Karen McCreedy, Betty Osincup, Pete and Sandy Weller, Virginia Tschantz, and Gladys Ferguson enjoyed the celebration of small towns. The multimedia show with live ragtime piano, spanned 150 years of Americana including Joplin, Foster and Sousa.

Don and Loretta Gardner were happy to have Don’s daughter, Pam Nebergald, of Lebanon, Oregon, visit last week. Pam was here visiting family, relatives and friends. She visits Don and Loretta at least once per year and they really enjoyed having her here!

Halcyon House hosted almost 400 trick-or-treaters on Halloween. Residents Isy Flander, Mary Ann Hennigan, Lea Smothers, and Marcella Reed along with volunteers Robin Lamb, Millie Craig and Emma Craig helped direct the ghouls and goblins. Check out our Facebook page for pictures taken at the event.

Happy birthday to the following Halcyon House residents Don Siegle, Bev Johnson, and Alice Moore.
