The regional pairings for the state girls’ golf qualification tournaments have been released for classes 1A, 2A and 3A by the Iowa Girls’ High School Athletic Union.
All regional first round tournaments will be held on Monday, May 19. All finals will be played on Tuesday, May 27.
In Class 1A, The Iowa Mennonite School and Keota High School girls will try to qualify for the regional finals at Deerwood Golf Course in New London. If they advance, they will have a chance to qualify for state at Victor Country Club in Brooklyn.
For Class 2A, the Columbus Community girls will have the luxury of playing at home in the first round. Their regional assignment is Cedarcrest Country Club in Columbus Junction. Should any Wildcat girls advance, they will play their regional final at Fillmore Fairways in Cascade.
As far as Class 3A goes, the Mid-Prairie girls will make the trip over to Indian Hills Country Club in Mediapolis for the first round. If any Golden Hawk girls qualify for the finals, they would play on the familiar course of the Kalona Golf Club.
According to a release by the IGHSAU, the pairings and sites for Class 4A, which Washington High School plays in, are yet to be determined.
