IMS catches fire in blowout win over WACO

KALONA — Nearly everything IMS tossed up in the first half of Tuesday’s Southeast Iowa Super Conference North Division contest against WACO went in, as IMS shot 70 percent from the field in the game’s first two quarters to take a 39-10 lead at the break. From there, the home team rolled to a 60-25 win over the Warriors.

Senior Cameron Gingerich scored a game-high 19 points to lead IMS (11-2, 11-2 SEISC North), and he also had four rebounds, three assists and three steals in the contest. Senior Peyton Thompson added 15 points and four assists, and junior Dallas Nye had eight points and seven rebounds.

Junior Parker Ferguson came off the bench to score 10 points to lead WACO (5-9, 5-7 SEISC North), and senior Tyler Ayers added seven points and four assists.
