Nov 16, 2012

The Jingle Bell 5K and one-mile fun run will be held in Washington on Saturday, Nov. 24. The 5K run/walk will begin on the Washington square at 9 a.m., and the course travels through Sunset Park.

Runners and walkers of all ages are encouraged to participate, and costumes are also encouraged. There will be four classes: 10-and-under, 11-19, 20-40 and 41-and-up. Medals will be awarded to the first- and second-place winners in each age group for both men and women.

A T-shirt and jingle bells will be given to all participants who pre-register. The proceeds from the event will be used to help the Washington Track Club build a new storage building at Case Field. Also, one canned good is part of the registration fee, which will to HACAP.
