Keota golfers fall to HLV in dual

KEOTA – The Keota High School boys’ and girls’ varsity and junior varsity golf teams participated in a dual with their South Iowa Cedar Conference opponent, HLV, on Thursday, April 17.
HLV defeated Keota 177 – 199 in the varsity boys’ competition.
Kolton Greiner again set the pace for the Eagle varsity boys. His nine-hole score of 43 was one stroke off the meet medalist tally. Zach Mousel finished at 47. Grant Hill completed his round at 53. Avery Conrad shot a 56. John Mather had a 59. Sam Ollinger wrapped things up at 65.
The junior varsity boys who competed for Keota included Cole Stout, Cullen Kelley and Paden Uphold. They finished with scores of 65, 81 and 83 respectively.
Grace Shemanski and Madison Sieren were the two Eagle girls who played a round. Shemanski finished at 66 while Sieren had a 61.
Both the Keota boys and girls will be on the course again this afternoon in another conference dual at BGM.
