Kids’ Day at the Washington County Fair

WASHINGTON—Rev your engines and race to the fair!

Come and enjoy Kids’ Day at the 2018 Washington County Fair on Wednesday, July 18.

This fun event is hosted by Washington County Extension, Washington County Hospital & Clinics, Peoples Savings Bank of Crawfordsville and Wayland, and Farm Bureau Financial Services- Ann Williams.

The morning will kick off at 9:30 a.m. with activities all over the fairgrounds but special speed racing games and crafts centered under the County Council Pavillion.

There will be a variety of hands-on activities for children ages preschool through third grade.

All kids are welcome to come, learn, and have fun!

Participants may come and go to activity stations anytime throughout the morning until 11 a.m.

• Pit Stop: Fuel your engines and enjoy some POP!corn. Sponsored by Washington Lions Club.

• Horse Power: The Horse and Pony Club will host activities for you to test your horsepower at the Horse Barn.

Pony rides also available and sponsored by Ann C. Williams Agency.

• Race Course: Test your racing skills by moving through the race course to take the checkered flag.

• Car Build: Design your own race cars at the craft building station.

• Racing Swag: Do not forget to pick up your 4-H Racing Swag Bag.

Other kids activities throughout the day include:

• Doc Ron’s Weird Science at 1:30 p.m. at the Lions Club Stage

• Visit the round barn from 9 – 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. for hands-on agriculture learning through Little Hands on the Farm hosted by the Washingtonton County ELITE team.

• Lego Land Building station will be open again this year from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. each day hosted by 4-H Leadership Development youth and sponsored by Greiner Buildings, Engineered Building Designs and Washington Lumber and Home Center.

Kids of all ages are welcome to come design and build as an engineer in the 4-H Hall with legoes!

• Juggler with the Yellow Shoes at 11:30 a.m. at Lions Club Stage.

• Amazing Race interactive scavenger hunt hosted by 4-H County Council 2 p.m. with registration at the Lions Club Stage. Come with a team or come join a team that day.

• Enjoy 4-H’ers and their talen at Share the Fun/Style Revue at 3 p.m. at the Community Center
