Larry R. Brinning, 66, of Durant, Iowa, passed away Friday, September 29, 2017, at Genesis Health System- East Campus, Davenport.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 2, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Calvary United Methodist Church in Walcott. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will take place at the Walcott Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital, Iowa City in his memory. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.bentleyfuneralhome.com.

Larry was born in Washington, Iowa on January 9, 1951, to Merle and Margaret (Anderson) Brinning. Larry graduated from Keota High School in 1969 and from Muscatine Community College in 1971. He proudly served his country in the Iowa Army National Guard. Larry married Marti J. Warnecke on June 23, 1974 in Walcott.

He worked for Twin States/Liqui-Grow in Walcott, Durant and Wilton for over 30 years and co-owned Tri-County Lawn Service.

He enjoyed having coffee with his buddies at the Creamery. His passions were snowmobiling and classic cars especially his model T. Above all, he loved spending time with his family at Lake Ozark riding jet skis.

Larry is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife Marti; his daughters: Brittney (Bryan) Benson of Bettendorf, Bridget (Adam) Schulte of Waukee and Brooke (Aaron) Franck of Davenport; three grandchildren: Brady, Brylee and Carson; his brothers: Bill (Myung) Brinning of Houston and twin brother Lanny (Margie) Brinning of Keota.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Brett in 1979.
