Library to begin reading programs

The Washington Public Library is ready to kick off 2013 with new reading programs for all ages. A choral reading club for teens will begin Monday, Jan. 7 at 4 p.m. Also new will be Drama Club for aspiring actors in third through fifth grade. The group will meet on Tuesdays at 4 beginning Jan. 15. The Washington Community Y and the library are collaborating on a new program Run and Read. The program begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Y on Jan. 11 and includes an organized gym program, followed by story time for preschoolers.

The library will continue to offer Wee Read for toddlers with an adult on Thursday mornings at 10:30. Programs on early dismissal Wednesdays, include Game Club, and Kids Kraft Corner both begin at 1:30 p.m.

Teens photography club meets the first and fourth Thursdays of the month at 4 p.m.

Adult programs include Simple Bookbinding class on Jan. 8 and 15 at 6 p.m., and Smart Investing@Your Library beginning Monday, Jan. 21 at 6 p.m.
