Marilyn "Joan" Netten-Anderegg, 72, of Keota, died Sunday, December 17, 2017, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.


Celebration Of Life Service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 22, 2017, at the United Church of Faith in Keota, with Pastors Wes Foster and Vince Homan officiating. Burial at Keota Cemetery. Visitation is 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 21 at Powell Funeral Home, Keota.

Joan was born January 24, 1945, in Grinnell, the daughter of Tom and Louise (Beason) Whitehead. She graduated from New Sharon High School and received her LPN at Indian Hills Community College. Joan was a nurse at the Keota Clinic then became the Keota City Clerk. On May 2, 1964, she married Larry Netten and they had three children: Lisa, Brian and Michael. They were later divorced. She then married Bill Anderegg on January 8, 1998.


Survivors include two children: Lisa (Wes) Foster of Des Moines and Brian Netten of St. Paul, Minn.; three grandchildren; and sister, Janet (Dino) Horvath of Champlain, Minn. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill; and son, Michael.
