Marsha Jean Jones, age 52, of Wellman, Iowa, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018 at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital in Houston, Texas.

 

Celebration of life services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home with Dr. Dan McClure and Pastor David Cotner officiating. Calling hours will begin noon Friday, January 19, 2018 at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. Memorials have been established for the Marfan Foundation and Prairie Flower Baptist Church. Online condolences may be sent for Marsha's family through the web at www.jonesfh.com.

 

Marsha was born July 14, 1965 in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of Robert and Marjorie (Gamon) Jones. She graduated from Washington High School in 1983 and from Cedarville University in Ohio in 1987.

 

Marsha lived on the family farm north of Washington all her life. She worked for Iowa Telecom in Cedar Rapids, Ray-Man in Keota, Wilson Concrete in Washington and Metro Pavers in Iowa City. She owned and operated Mystique Creations in Kalona for many years. She was a member of Prairie Flower Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and helped with JOY Club and Vacation Bible School. She was also a member of the Cedar Clippers 4-H Club. She served on the State and National levels of the Marfan Foundation. Marsha enjoyed spending time with her family.

 

She is survived by her mother, Marjorie Jones of Wellman, Iowa; sister, Rita (Edwin) Luers of Keota, Iowa; sister, Linda Jones of West Dundee, Ill.; three nieces and one nephew: Lora (Joel) Banister of Somonauk, Ill.; Lisa (Will) Van Der Molen of Columbus Junction, Iowa; Lynnae (Shane) Callison of Ventura, Iowa; and Will (Melissa) Luers of Keota, Iowa; and 15 great-nieces and great-nephews: Myranda and Titus Banister, Evan, Sadie, Ellie and Sawyer Van Der Molen, Cayden, Carson, Chase and Chandler Callison; and Anna, Will, Isaiah, Belle and Gamon Luers.

 

Marsha was preceded in death by her father, grandparents and brother, Willis Jones
