Master Gardeners sponsor daylily program

Mar 18, 2013

Jonathan Poulton, an experienced home gardener focusing on the breeding of new daylily varieties, will speak on the "Search for the Blue Daylily" at 6:30 p.m. March 26, at the Washington County Extension Office.

The program is being sponsored by the Washington County Master Gardeners. The public is invited to this free program.

Debbie Stanton, Washington Public Library director, will also be present to talk about the “Seed Lending Library” the library is beginning this spring. The purpose of a Seed Lending Library is to promote the use and sharing of open-pollinated seeds. An ancillary purpose is to provide education on seed-saving techniques so future generations can have the shared knowledge of how to protect plant diversity.
