New scholarship to benefit Washington County Class of 2013

The Community Foundation of Washington, Iowa, is pleased to announce that it will be awarding a $500 scholarship this spring to a member of the graduating class of 2013. Applicants must be residents of Washington County and must be pursuing a degree in the fall of 2013 from a college, university, community college or trade school in Iowa. An application form may be downloaded from the Web site at www.cfwashingtoncounty.org, or may be obtained from the guidance counselor at any of the following high schools: Highland, IMS, Mid-Prairie, WACO, and Washington. The Community Foundation of Washington County was formed in 2006 as an affiliate of the Community Foundation of the Great River Bend, Bettendorf. The foundation is overseen by a volunteer board of leading citizens with expertise in knowing the community’s needs. The CFWC works together with many individuals, families, businesses and organizations to establish endowment funds that provide grant awards for years to come.
