Feb 08, 2013

WAYLAND — WACO had balanced scoring as it blew out visiting Harmony 50-21 in a Class 1A Region 4 first-round game on Thursday night.

Sophomore Aaliyah Brown scored 12 points to lead the Warriors, who had nine players score in the game. Freshman Hannah Black added nine points, while junior Jordan Rodgers and sophomore Jennie Greene had seven points apiece. Junior Jaelyn Unternahrer and sophomore Gaby Wagler both chipped in five points.

Senior Jori Davidson had 10 points and 10 rebounds to lead Harmony, which finished its season with a record of 1-23.

The win was WACO’s second win over Harmony in six days. The Warriors also defeated the Rockets 58-20 in last Friday’s Southeast Iowa Super Conference Shootout game in Farmington.
