Pavement patching on county roads to begin

Aug 19, 2013

The Washington County Engineer’s office has contracted with Tek Builders Inc. of Mount Ayr, to do portland cement concrete (PCC) patching this year on paved roads throughout the county. The roads to be worked on this year include W61 (both the Airport Road and Riverside Road), G36 (220th Street) and G26 (190th Street).

Work is scheduled to begin on the Airport Road on Aug. 19, with the preparatory sawing of the patching locations and then progressing to replacement of the concrete later in the week.

The entire patching operation should last about two to three weeks, weather permitting.

The public is encouraged to use caution and safe driving practices in the construction zones. Questions should be directed to the Washington County Engineer’s office at 319-653-7731.
