Pleasant Plain Friends Church to host Gospel music concert

Oct 25, 2013

PLEASANT PLAIN — Gospel music recording artists The Phil & Pam Morgan Family will be appearing at Pleasant Plain Church at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26. The church is located at 702 110th St., in Pleasant Plain.

This concert is part of the group's national "Take a Stand" ministry tour. The multimedia presentation combines close family harmony with accomplished instrumentals for a fun and motivational experience. It is a triumphant theme considering Pam was once told she would never stand or walk again.

The couple are from Kansas City, Mo. In 1996, the couple's van crashed into a bridge. Pam was thrown onto the roadside and suffered many injuries including a broken neck that left her completely paralyzed from the chest down. She was told she would never feel or move most of her body again.

The couple immediately began a prayer chain that soon circled the world. Much to the doctor's amazement, feeling and movement began to gradually return to Pam's lifeless limbs. Exactly one year after the accident Phil and Pam walked into a Nashville studio to record "Living Proof."

"When tragedy struck our family, God was the only One who got us through," Pam said. "My prayer is that through our story and music, others will be motivated to walk with God every day, no matter what life brings."
