Traffic other

A vehicle was reported partially sitting in the roadway in the 1200 block of North Second Avenue in Washington Monday evening. Officers responded. The vehicle was gone on arrival.

A car was reported parked across the sidewalk Monday evening in the 700 block of South C Avenue in Washington. Officers responded. The vehicle was parked legally on officers’ arrival.

A vehicle reportedly kept driving through a trailer park in the 3100 block of Highway 22 in Riverside Monday night. Officers were unable to locate.


Fire calls

A fire was reported Monday afternoon in the 100 block of Green Meadows Drive in Washington.

A silo was reported smoking Monday afternoon in the 1300 block of Locust Avenue in Kalona. Kalona Fire Department responded. Washington Fire Department responded to assist. The fire was extinguished.


All other thefts

A CPU box was reported stolen from a church Monday morning in the 600 block of Eighth Avenue in Wellman. A report will be filed.


Animal complaints

A loose dog was reported Monday evening in the 600 block of West Jefferson Street in Washington. The owner located the dog.


Barking dog

Several dogs were reported barking Monday night in the 300 block of Center Street in West Chester. It was an ongoing issue. Officers responded. The dogs were barking on arrival. A written warning was given.


All other offenses

A caller in the 1100 block of South B Avenue in Washington reported a 14-year-old subject was upset and left the building on foot Monday morning. Officers responded. The subject was located.


Family offense non violent

A 911 call was received Monday morning in the 1200 block of West Madison Street in Washington from a subject stating that her boyfriend hurt her. Officers responded. The caller was intoxicated. The male subject took the young child and left the residence. No physical altercation occurred.

A caller in the 90 block of South Boise Street in Riverside reported Monday evening that a subject had his mother give their children a message at school. The caller and the subject had a no-contact order. The caller will do some checking. It didn’t appear the children were protected. The incident was documented.


Suspicious activity

A suspicious vehicle was reported parked behind a building in the 200 block of North Van Buren Street in Brighton Tuesday morning. Officers responded. The vehicle had left prior to officers’ arrival.
