Jacob Allen Osborn, 19, of Washington, was arrested Thursday morning in the 800 block of South Avenue D in Washington on a Washington County warrant for pretrial violation for second-degree sexual abuse.


Traffic other

A caller Wednesday afternoon in the 100 block of West Tyler Street in Washington reported a vehicle parked in a no-parking zone. An officer responded and was unable to locate any vehicles parked illegally.



A caller Wednesday afternoon in the 400 block of Fifth Street in Wellman reported a fraud. Someone used private information to open a Comcast account in Chicago. An officer spoke with the caller for documentation purposes.



A caller Thursday morning in the 1300 block of North Second Avenue reported that his girlfriend advised that two males came into her apartment asking where he was, and were threatening to harm him. The caller requested to speak with an officer. An officer spoke with the caller and his girlfriend. The information was documented. The officer was unable to locate the two male subjects.



An officer on Thursday morning reported receiving a report of a theft that had occurred on April 4, in the 2400 block of Highway 92 in Washington. A report will be filed.


Suspicious activity

A caller Thursday morning in the 1200 block of East Washington Street in Washington reported suspicious activity. City units responded and were unable to locate anyone in the area.


Welfare check

A caller Wednesday afternoon in the 700 block of East Van Buren Street in Washington requested a welfare check on a client. An officer responded and spoke with the subject. There was no problem.


All other offenses

A caller Wednesday afternoon in the 600 block of Monroe Street in Ainsworth requested to speak to a deputy about concerns with the care of a child. An officer spoke with the caller. The caller was provided with available options.
