Arrests

Regina Renee Cucchiara, 38, of Washington, was arrested Monday afternoon in the 500 block of West Madison Street in Washington on a Washington County warrant for failure to appear for child support hearing.

Jeremy Alan Holmes, 39, of Davenport, was arrested Monday night in the 100 block of East Third Street in Vinton on a Washington County warrant for failure to appear for initial on soliciting without a permit.

Traffic accident

A caller Monday afternoon at Highway 78 and 245th Avenue in Ollie requested Brighton QRS to assist with a vehicle accident with multiple injuries at Highway 78 and 245th Avenue. They then requested assistance from an ambulance. Brighton QRS and an ambulance responded and assisted. The ambulance transported one patient to the Washington County Hospital in Washington.

A caller Monday evening in the 200 block of South Iowa Avenue in Washington reported a backing accident. It was a non-reportable accident, and drivers’ information was exchanged.

A caller Monday night in the 100 block of North Iowa Avenue in Washington reported that a vehicle struck his Dodge truck and left the scene. The possible suspect vehicle was a white Dodge Stratus with front-end damage. An officer responded, and both city units checked the area. A towing company was contacted at the caller’s request, to assist with a tow truck.

Traffic other

A deputy reported a no-parking violation, Monday morning in the 200 block of East First Street in Riverside. The officer advised that a verbal warning was given. Documentation was made.

A caller Monday afternoon at North Second Avenue and East 11th Street in Washington reported a black Saturn L200 in the roadway for the past hour. An officer responded and made contact with the operator, who was going to get it moved.

Animal complaint

A caller Monday morning in the 600 block of East Second Street in Washington reported a loose pitbull dog that had been following him around, running loose. Jesse Lucy, of Washington, was cited for allowing a dog to run at large.

An officer reported being out issuing a deer tag, Monday night in the 1500 block of Spruce Avenue in Riverside. A deer tag was issued to an Ainsworth resident.

A caller Monday night in the 200 block of North Harrison Street in Brighton reported that a larger dog kept coming into their yard. She was not sure if it had a collar. An officer checked around the area but was unable to locate the dog.

Assault

A caller Monday afternoon in the 3100 block of 115th Street in Riverside reported that their son was assaulted on the school bus. An officer responded. The officer planned to make contact with the transportation director and the school superintendent on Tuesday about the incident. Documentation was made.

Burglary

A caller Monday night in the 1600 block of North Fifth Avenue in Washington reported items taken from his apartment. An officer spoke with the caller. The incident was documented.

Disorderly conduct

A caller Monday afternoon in the 800 block of North Sixth Avenue in Washington reported being in a dispute with her husband over exchanging their child. An officer responded. The child went with the caller. The parties separated.

Drug/narcotics violation

A caller Monday morning in the 200 block of West Main Street in Washington reported suspicious activity involving two subjects. Officers responded. Two juvenile males were charged with simple possession of controlled substance, marijuana.

Fraud

A caller Monday morning in the 1000 block of West Madison Street reported theft by three bad checks, totaling $232. An officer advised that a report would be filed.

Public intoxication

A caller Monday night in the 700 block of East Seventh Street in Washington reported that her daughter was intoxicated and was not taking care of her children. Officers responded. An officer transported the female subject to Washington County Hospital and Clinics in Washington, and later transported the subject back to her residence.

Shoplifting

A caller Monday night in the 1100 block of Enterprise Drive in Riverside reported a shoplifter. The suspect had left the store in a red or maroon older SUV approximately 40 minutes earlier. An officer responded. A report will be filed.

Suspicious activity

A caller Monday afternoon in the 1000 block of Walnut Avenue in Riverside reported two vehicles left on Walnut Avenue north of the casino. An officer responded. These vehicles were in that location for Hills Fire to train that evening. There was no problem.

A caller Monday night in the 100 block of Ninth Street in Kalona reported a horse and buggy went to the sales barn. She had not seen or heard them leave. An officer responded and checked the area and was unable to locate them.

All other offenses

A caller Monday afternoon in the 600 block of South Fourth Avenue in Washington reported a student out of control, throwing chairs. Officers and an ambulance responded. The ambulance transported one subject to the Washington County Hospital in Washington.
