Arrests

Timothy Glenn Ladehof McDowell, 40, of Keota, was arrested Tuesday afternoon in the 2100 block of Lexington Boulevard in Washington on a Washington County warrant for first-degree theft.

William Jason Robinson, 45, of Washington, was arrested Tuesday afternoon in the 2100 block of Lexington Boulevard in Washington on a Washington County warrant for controlled substance violation, possession of a controlled substance, third or subsequent offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Mary Grace Schmidt, 34, of Marion, was arrested Tuesday afternoon at 230th Street and Highway 1 in Washington on charges of driving while revoked and no insurance.

Brandon James Ferdig, 20, of Washington, was arrested Tuesday night in the 1300 block of North Fifth Avenue in Washington on a charge of simple domestic abuse assault.

Traffic accident

A caller Tuesday morning in the 100 block of Kleopfer Avenue in Riverside reported being in a two-vehicle accident with no injuries. An officer responded. One vehicle was removed by a towing company. A state report will be filed. Eric Allebach, of Marion, was cited for unsafe backing.

A caller Tuesday evening in the 2100 block of Lexington Boulevard in Washington reported being hit by a vehicle. The vehicle kept going. The subject was complaining of neck and leg pain. Officers and an ambulance responded. There was no ambulance transport. The subject described the vehicle as a red Ford F-150 truck. Officers were unable to locate the truck in the area. An officer gave the subject a ride to the Washington County Hospital in Washington.

Traffic other

A caller Tuesday evening in the 1100 block of South Avenue E in Washington reported that a truck and trailer were parked in the roadway. An officer responded and checked the area and was unable to locate the vehicle.

Disabled vehicles

A deputy reported being out with a vehicle, Tuesday morning at Fir Avenue and Foster Woods Road in Wellman. The deputy was attempting to make contact with the owner of the vehicle, to get it removed.

Forgery

A caller Tuesday afternoon in the 2300 block of Ivy Avenue in Keota reported the theft of four checks this weekend, that were presented on Monday at four stores. An officer attempted to contact the caller back, and left a message.

Fraud

A caller Tuesday morning in the 800 block of East Seventh Street in Washington reported fraud by check. An officer spoke with the caller. A report will be filed.

A caller Tuesday morning in the 2400 block of Sockum Ridge Road in Washington reported a scam, and someone had gained access to their computer. An officer spoke with the caller. Documentation was made.

Intimidation/harassment

A caller Tuesday afternoon in the 800 block of South Third Avenue in Washington reported approximately four to eight juveniles who appeared to be fighting in the street and were then walking toward the police department. An officer responded to the area. There was no problem.

Runaways/missing person

A caller Tuesday night in the 2700 block of 285th Street in Washington reported that her two juvenile daughters had run away. An officer spoke with the mother and entered the children as missing. The officer located the juveniles and transported them to Four Oaks in Iowa City. They were canceled out of the system.

Suspicious activity

A caller Tuesday night in the 500 block of C Avenue in Kalona reported suspicious activity. Officers responded. The report was unfounded.

A caller Tuesday night in the 300 block of West Street in West Chester reported a suspicious van in the area. An officer responded, and located and transported a juvenile home. Documentation was made.

Vandalism

A caller Tuesday morning in the 600 block of West Fountain Street in Brighton reported that someone cut the tires on their vehicle. An officer spoke with the caller. The incident was documented.

All other offenses

A caller Tuesday afternoon in the 1600 block of South Iowa Avenue in Washington reported he was unable to find any family member at the residence. Officers responded. The parents were located.
