Arrests

Terry Lee Lockamy, 34, of Cedar Rapids was arrested Monday afternoon in the 6300 block of Highway 151 in Marion on a Washington County warrant for possession of controlled substance, third or subsequent offense.

Traffic accident

A caller Monday morning in the 3200 block of 287th Street in Crawfordsville reported a 2005 or 2006 Ford 500 in the ditch. No one was inside the vehicle. It looked as if it had been there since before the rain the previous night. An officer responded. No one was around the vehicle. The officer marked the vehicle and removed plates on the vehicle that did not match.

A caller Monday afternoon in the 600 block of Circle Drive in Washington reported a vehicle accident that happened Friday. An officer responded and spoke to the subject. It will be handled as a hit-and-run, parked vehicle versus unknown vehicle and unknown operator. The officer attempted to make contact with the possible suspect. Documentation was made.

Disabled vehicles

A caller Monday night at Highway 218 and 192nd Street in Ainsworth reported a gold Dodge Caravan had a flat tire. An officer checked the area and was unable to locate the vehicle.

Animal complaint

A caller Monday morning in the 1300 block of Deer Run Drive in Riverside reported a Rottweiler was running loose again in the subdivision. An officer responded. The dog was tied to a tree in his yard upon the officer’s arrival.

A caller Monday night in the 1200 block of Ninth Avenue in Wellman reported a small dog had been outside since 2:30 p.m. that day, and the caller was unsure whether it had water. It had been barking. An officer responded. No one was home at the residence. The dog was tangled and had not been able to get to water. The officer assisted the dog.

Assault

An officer received a report of child abuse and domestic abuse, Monday afternoon in the 1000 block of East Norberry Street in Lancaster, California. A report will be filed. The case was forwarded to Lancaster County, California.

Fraud

A caller Monday afternoon in the 700 block of East 15th Street in Washington reported a fraudulent check was made to her, and she was out almost $3,000. An officer called the reporting party and left her a message.

Intimidation/harassment

A caller Monday afternoon in the 1000 block of North Iowa Avenue reported some neighborhood youngsters were threatening her children. An officer responded and spoke to both sides of the issue. They were advised to cease contact.

Trespass

A caller Monday afternoon in the 300 block of West Madison Street in Washington reported a tow truck was trespassing on the property and had torn up the backyard. An officer responded. There was a little damage. The officer contacted the tow company to have them contact the caller and try to work this out between them before involving law enforcement.

Vandalism

A caller Monday morning in the 1200 block of F Avenue in Kalona reported someone put spray paint and toilet paper in his yard sometime over the weekend. An officer responded. There were spray paint and toilet paper in the yard, but no damage to actual property. There were no suspects. Documentation was made.

All other theft

A caller Monday afternoon in the 1500 block of East Washington Street in Washington reported a gas drive-off in the amount of $42.56 that occurred about 10:45 a.m. Sunday. The vehicle was a black Chevrolet Avalanche. An officer responded and spoke to the owner of the vehicle. She went to pay for the gas.

A caller Monday night in the 200 block of A Avenue in Kalona reported a cellphone was taken out of her parked vehicle, which was not locked. An officer attempted to make contact with the caller.

All other offenses

A caller Monday night in the 700 block of North Iowa Avenue in Washington reported the carbon monoxide alarm was going off. Everyone was outside of the residence. Washington Fire Department responded and did not detect anything. Alliant Energy was contacted and responded.

A caller Monday night in the 300 block of Fourth Street in Wellman reported a line was down going across the alleyway. An officer responded and rolled up the line and set it by the pole. The caller was going to call the City of Wellman and advise them of the line.

A caller Monday night in the 500 block of East Madison Street in Brighton reported a verbal problem with her current residence. Other people were trying to kick her out. An officer responded and explained the proper process to use to have someone removed from a residence.
