Arrests

Eric McIntosh Jr., 24, of McHenry, Illinois, was arrested Thursday afternoon in the 3100 block of Highway 22 in Riverside on a charge of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. Markell Dishe Price, 23, of Chicago, Illinois, was arrested at the same time and location on a charge of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.

Adam Dean Lowe, 38, of Brighton was arrested Thursday night at Germanville Road and 146th Boulevard in Fairfield on two Washington County warrants, one for failure to appear for trial on violation of a no-contact order, and one for failure to appear for initial on driving under suspension. The subject was also wanted out of Jefferson County for violation of probation on original charge of domestic abuse. Another subject at the same time and location faces pending charges of interference with official acts.

Traffic accident

A caller Thursday night in the 100 block of West Washington Street in Washington reported she was hit by a vehicle on the square. There were no injuries. An officer responded. Damage was under $1,500, and information had been exchanged prior to the officer’s arrival. The accident was documented.

Traffic other

An officer on Thursday morning advised that a vehicle had been parked at the pavilion in the 1900 block of West Main Street in Washington for several days without being moved. The officer planned to try to contact the owners.

An officer received a parking complaint of a white and red van, Thursday afternoon in the 800 block of North Sixth Avenue in Washington. The officer chalked the tires and was going to check back the next day.

A caller Thursday night at Juniper Avenue and 230th Street in West Chester reported a young male on a dirt bike went eastbound down the Kewash Trail, and possibly was coming from the bee farm on Juniper Avenue. He had facial hair and was wearing a ball cap. An officer was notified for documentation.

A caller Friday morning in the 200 block of Fifth Street in Kalona reported two vehicles parked in downtown Kalona after hours. An officer issued a written warning for each vehicle for parking after hours.

Animal complaint

A caller Thursday morning in the 1000 block of Second Street in Wellman reported a subject had a brownish-red-colored terrier that was constantly running loose. It had attacked the caller’s dog and bitten several neighbors previously. An officer responded and was unable to make contact with the owner, but was going to try back later.

A caller Thursday afternoon in the 800 block of North Eighth Avenue in Washington reported two dogs loose. An officer responded. The owner was given a written warning for dog at large.

A caller Thursday afternoon in the 1400 block of Orange Avenue in Kalona reported she had a bat in her bathroom, and requested that a deputy assist. An officer checked the home and was unable to locate the bat.

Disabled vehicles

A caller Thursday afternoon at South 12th Avenue and East Washington Street in Washington reported a disabled vehicle in the intersection. An officer responded. The subjects had run out of gas and moved into the church parking lot.

Drug/narcotics violation

A caller Thursday morning in the 1600 block of North Fifth Avenue in Washington reported a strong chemical odor. An officer responded and was unable to locate the odor.

Intimidation/harassment

A caller Thursday afternoon in the 1600 block of North Fifth Avenue in Washington reported a female subject had been calling and texting him and would not stop when asked. An officer spoke with the female subject. She advised she would stop contacting the reporting party.

All other theft

Joshua Lee Holmes, 32, of Washington was cited into court Thursday on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of controlled substance – marijuana, from an incident that occurred on June 14.

A caller Friday morning in the 2400 block of Highway 92 in Washington reported theft of paint and paint rollers that had occurred about an hour previously. An officer responded. Documentation was made.

All other offenses

A caller Thursday afternoon in the 3100 block of Highway 22 in Riverside reported one male subject was being chased down by several male subjects. They had protective vests on. An officer spoke to the business, and they advised DCI and State Patrol were there.
