Bradford Lee Lucas, 19, of Riverside, was arrested Thursday morning in the 2100 block of Lexington Boulevard in Washington for violation of a no-contact order.

Gregory Eugene Davis, 45, of Kalona, was arrested Thursday night in the 100 block of Fifth Street in Kalona for OWI and driving while revoked.


Traffic accidents

A one-vehicle rollover accident was reported Thursday evening in the 2000 block of Underwood Avenue in Ainsworth. Washington County Ambulance, Ainsworth Fire, Washington County Rescue and officers responded. Doyle Bohr of Higbee, Mo. Was cited for operating while intoxicated and failure to maintain control. One subject was transported to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.


Traffic other

A subject was reported driving erratically Thursday afternoon in the 1100 block of East Taylor Street in Washington. A caller requested officers spoke with the suspect. The caller then became irate with the suspect and hung up the phone. Officers responded and spoke with both parties.

Thomas Edward Glick, 26, of Wellman, was cited Thursday afternoon at Fir Avenue and Second Street in Wellman for driving under suspension. A verbal warning was given for no insurance and faulty brake lights.



A caller reported Thursday morning that someone went through her vehicle the previous night while it was parked in the 1000 block of North Seventh Avenue in Washington. The caller’s purse was taken and inside was a wallet with Vanity gift cards, Target gift cards, a driver’s license, $15 cash and an ATM card. The incident was documented.


All other thefts

A caller in the 200 block of East 15th Street in Washington reported Thursday evening that someone took her granddaughter’s bicycle. They also got into her vehicle and took change. The incident was documented.


Liquor law violations

Two subjects were reported Thursday evening walking in the 200 block of South Marion Avenue in Washington with open containers of alcohol. Officers were unable to locate.

Randy Vincent Rarick, 28, of Wayland, was cited Thursday night at East Fountain and Angle Street in Brighton for open container by driver and violation of a restricted license.


Animal complaints

A loose dog was reported Thursday afternoon in the 400 block of South Second Avenue in Washington. The dogcatcher responded. The dog was taken to the pound. Officers spoke with the owner. A verbal warning was given for allowing a dog to run at large.


Barking dog

A barking dog was reported at a residence at Tenth Street and H Avenue in Kalona Thursday night. Officers were unable to locate.


All other offenses

A subject was reported urinating outside Thursday morning at East Madison and South Ninth Avenue in Washington. Officers were unable to locate.

A caller in the 300 block of East Washington Street in Washington reported Thursday evening that a subject got into her vehicle. When the subject saw the caller he left the scene. Officers were unable to locate.


Suspicious activity

Suspicious activity was reported Thursday afternoon in the 1100 block of Quail Court in Riverside. Officers spoke with the caller.

A suspicious incident was reported Thursday afternoon in the 20 block of Linden Lane in Washington. A subject in a vehicle reportedly pulled across the driveway and into the yard of a cottage and was driving toward a resident. The suspect then left when another resident came outside. Officers responded and spoke with a suspect. He was in town working and had gotten lost trying to find a residence.


Welfare check

A welfare check was requested Thursday afternoon in the 800 block of West Monroe Street in Washington. Officers responded. The subject was fine.
