Arrests   Paul Cody Ogle, 20, of Keota was arrested Monday morning in the 300 block of North Marion Avenue in Washington through Marshalltown Police Department on charges of probation violation on harassment second, criminal mischief third, intoxication second, and child endangerment.   Emily Jo Cahill, 21, of Ainsworth was arrested Monday night in the 2100 block of Lexington Boulevard in Washington on a charge of possession of controlled substance – marijuana, first offense.    Kyra Jo Alexander, 19, of Washington was arrested Monday night in the 2400 block of Highway 92 in Washington on a charge of fifth-degree theft. Further charges are pending. Beretta Lynn Davis, 19, of Wayland was arrested at the same time and location on a charge of fifth-degree theft.
Traffic stop serious   A deputy reported witnessing an operator driving at A Avenue and First Street in Kalona, Monday morning. The vehicle did not pull over until reaching the 1300 block of Highway 1. A citation was issued to Natasha Marie Jones, 32, of Kalona for driving under suspension, second offense.
Traffic other   A caller Monday morning in the 1200 block of Highway 218 in Riverside reported the hood of a vehicle had popped up toward the windshield just south of the Riverside exit. The vehicle had pulled into the median. An officer checked the area and was unable to locate anyone.
Animal complaint   A caller Monday afternoon in the 400 block of East Van Buren Street in Washington reported his neighbor had a pitbull running loose. An officer responded and spoke with the dog owner. The owner was advised to make sure the dog was not loose and that it stayed in his yard. 
Barking dog   A caller Monday morning in the 700 block of South Ninth Avenue in Washington reported a dog in the area had been barking continuously. An officer advised that the dog was not out when he arrived. Dispatch did hear the dog barking while on the phone with the caller. The officer spoke with the owner of the dog and made the owners aware of the complaint.
Disorderly conduct   A caller Monday afternoon in the 2100 block of Lexington Boulevard in Washington reported an altercation between two inmates in the jail. One pushed the other, and he fell over the cleaning cart. Neither wished to pursue charges. The incident was documented only.
Intimidation/harassment   A caller Monday morning in the 700 block of South Avenue C in Washington reported her ex-husband was calling her phone on private numbers and making threats toward her. An officer was advised and was waiting for her to call back when she went on her break.   A caller Monday afternoon in the 400 block of Washington Street in Ainsworth reported her ex-husband was threatening her through texts. An officer spoke with the reporting party and attempted to reach the other party. He hung up on the officer on both phone calls, and denied any comments made. The message was relayed. 
Suspicious activity   A caller Monday morning in the 800 block of South Second Avenue in Washington reported suspicious activity in her area. An officer called the reporting party, and the information was documented.
Trespass   A caller Monday afternoon in the 2900 block of Highway 1 in Washington reported the county assessor came and took photographs of the property without permission. An officer called the reporting party and spoke with the county attorney’s office. The county attorney did not believe it was trespass.   A caller Monday afternoon in the 800 block of First Place in Kalona spoke with an officer regarding a trespass situation involving his neighbor. The incident was documented, and the subject trespassing was verbally advised to stay off the caller’s property.
Vandalism   A caller Monday morning in the 500 block of South Avenue B in Washington reported possible vandalism to his vehicle. He had a flat tire, and the gas cap was open. An officer responded. There was no sign of any damage to the vehicle. It appeared that the air was just let out of the tire. Documentation was made.
All other theft   A caller made contact with an officer, Monday morning in the 300 block of North Marion Avenue in Washington, regarding a theft that occurred at about 6 p.m., Saturday, June 17. A male subject wearing a red football jersey had stolen a bottle of Crown Royal Black. The incident is under investigation.
