Robert Joseph Creamer, 45, of Ainsworth, was arrested Thursday afternoon in the 200 block of Washington Street in Ainsworth for operating under the influence, second offense.

Amelia Elizabeth Simmons, 21, of North Liberty, was arrested Thursday evening in the 200 block of West Washington Street in Washington for driving under suspension.

Travis Dean Stauffer, 33, of Wayland, was arrested Thursday evening in the 100 block of West Main Street in Wayland for interference with official acts and on a Washington County warrant for violation of pretrial release on an original charge of possession of contraband in a correctional institution and possession of a controlled substance - marijuana.

Brian Eugene Ingle, 58, of Hedrick, was arrested Friday morning at Highway 1 and Lexington Boulevard in Washington for OWI and speeding.


Traffic accidents

A two-vehicle accident was reported Thursday evening at Highway 1 and 300th Street in Washington. No injuries. An officer responded. Under $1,500 damage was reported. Information was exchanged.


Fire calls

A subject was reported burning garbage at a residence in the 1200 block of East Second Street in Washington. An officer responded. The subject was not burning garbage.



A caller reported Thursday afternoon that her 11-year-old daughter was assaulted over a month ago in the 100 block of East Main Street in Washington. A report will be filed.

A caller in the 1300 block of East Third Street in Washington reported Thursday afternoon a person she lives with assaulted her. He is mentally challenged. The subject calmed down.


Bad checks

A caller in the 900 block of Franklyn Avenue in Marengo reported Thursday morning her was going to get some items from a subject in Missouri who wrote him a bad check for those items. An officer spoke with the subject. The theft took place in Iowa County. The incident was documented.


Disorderly conduct

A caller in the 600 block of South Fourth Avenue in Washington reported Thursday morning a student had damaged property and was being out of control. An officer responded. The student had calmed down. The school called back later advising the student was being physically aggressive again. An officer responded and did a standby while staff dealt with the student.

A caller in the 200 block of West Main Street in Washington reported Thursday evening her husband threatened to hit her. He left on foot. Officers responded and were unable to locate the subject. No assault occurred.



A caller in the 300 block of West Main Street in Washington reported Thursday night subjects in the upstairs apartment had their TV turned up too loud. An officer spoke with the subjects, who turned down the TV.

Tyree Eugene Rashawn Keys, 18, of Nichols was cited Friday morning in the 100 block of Fifth Street in Kalona for possession of alcohol under legal age. Miranda Reimers-Frantz, 20, of Iowa City, was cited at the same time and location for possession of alcohol under the legal age. A 17-year-old subject was also cited for possession of alcohol under the legal age.


All other offenses

A caller in the 2400 block of Highway 92 in Washington reported Thursday afternoon a client attempted to fill a prescription after altering the prescription themselves. A report will be filed.


Runaway/missing person

A resident reportedly walked away from a facility in the 1000 block of South Iowa Avenue in Washington Thursday night. Officers responded. The resident was located and returned to the facility.


Mental subject

A caller in the 3100 block of Highway 1 in Brighton reported Thursday morning her son moved out of her residence and had taken a dresser and some jewelry. Unfounded. The incident was documented.
