Arrests

Victor Javier Marcelino Atilano, 24, of Washington, was arrested Tuesday afternoon in the 200 block of North Fourth Avenue in Washington for failure to appear for mittimus.

Brandon Michael Hay, 22, of Washington, was arrested Tuesday evening in the 500 block of North Second Avenue in Washington for assault while displaying a dangerous weapon. Sapphire Nichole Harrison, 19, of Washington, was arrested at the same time and location for assault causing bodily injury.

Elizabeth Erin Steele, 33, of Riverside, was arrested Tuesday night in the 40 block of North Greene Street in Riverside for operating while intoxicated and child endangerment.

Chris Lee Colliver, 58, of Keota, was arrested Wednesday morning in the 2300 block of Ivy Avenue in Keota for simple assault and possession of drug paraphernalia.

 

Traffic accidents

An accident was reported Tuesday afternoon at South 12th Avenue and East Washington Street in Washington. The roadway was blocked. Fire units advised airbags had been deployed. officers, Washington County Ambulance, Washington Fire, Washington County Rescue and Moore's towing responded. No transport. Laura Elizabeth Hoffman was cited for failure to yield upon entering a through highway.

A vehicle vs. deer accident was reported Tuesday evening at 190th Street and Ginkgo Avenue in West Chester. An officer was advised. The incident was documented.

 

Disabled vehicles

An officer reported Tuesday afternoon being out with a disabled vehicle at Spruce Avenue and 220th Street in Washington. No problem. The subject was using the phone.

 

Traffic stop serious

An officer reported Tuesday morning being on a vehicle stop at Nutmeg Avenue and 125th Street in Kalona. Casey Jonathan Lloyd of Kalona was cited for driving while

revoked.

 

Drug/narcotics violations

A caller in the 500 block of North Marion Avenue in Washington reported Tuesday night locating possible drug items. An officer responded. The incident was documented.

 

Fraud

A caller in the 1300 block of East Main Street in Washington reported Tuesday morning that someone called Windstream and changed his number. The incident was documented.

 

All other thefts

A purse was reported stolen Tuesday afternoon in the 3100 block of Highway 22 in Riverside. An officer spoke with the caller.

A caller in the 400 block of South Second Avenue in Washington reported Tuesday night a check was stolen from the mail. An officer responded. Unfounded.

A caller in the 700 block of East Third Street in Washington reported Wednesday morning someone took her medications. An officer responded. Unfounded.

 

Intimidation/harassment

A caller in the 300 block of North C Avenue in Washington reported Tuesday morning her neighbors were harassing her. Officers spoke with both parties. They were advised to stay away from each other.

 

Disorderly conduct

A caller in the 600 block of South Seventh Avenue in Washington reported Tuesday afternoon her son was refusing to leave the residence. An officer responded and asked the subject to leave. The incident was documented.

Multiple subjects were reported fighting Tuesday night in the 700 block of North Marion Avenue in Washington. Officers responded. Verbal only.

 

Animal complaints

A loose dog was reported Tuesday morning in the 100 block of West Fountain Street in Brighton. An officer responded and spoke with the owner. The dog had pushed through a screen window and escaped.

A caller reported Tuesday afternoon that he was walking his dog at Redwood Avenue and 188th Street in Washington when an Australian Shepherd came over the fence and jumped on his dog. His dog had a puncture wound on its back leg. An officer spoke with the dog owner's brother, who was caring for the dog. The incident was documented.

 

DP&Q

Loud music was reported Tuesday night in the 1100 block of East Second Street in Washington. An officer responded and was unable to locate, but did speak with some subjects in the area.

 

All other offenses

Am officer reported Tuesday afternoon being in the 2100 block of Lexington Boulevard in Washington interviewing a subject who failed to appear for mittimus. The incident was documented.

A caller in the 500 block of North Marion Avenue in Washington reported Tuesday night that a subject had been living at his house for a few days and the caller would like him to leave. The other subject called and advised he had been there for 10 days. Verbal altercation. An officer responded. The parties were going their separate ways for the night.

A caller in the 600 block of West Adams Street in Washington reported Tuesday night that a subject was at her door and she did not want him there. An officer responded. The subject was gone on arrival.

A caller in the 600 block of South Seventh Avenue in Washington reported Wednesday morning his son had shown up at the residence after being asked to leave the property earlier. Officers responded. The subject left before officers arrived. The incident was documented.

 

Family offense non violent

A caller in the 1000 block of Eighth Street in Wellman reported Tuesday an incident involving her family and she wished to press charges. An officer will consult the county attorney. The incident was documented.

 

Suspicious activity

A caller in the 800 block of Third Street in Kalona reported an incident Tuesday morning that had occurred on Sunday. An officer spoke with the caller. The incident was documented.

 

Hang-up 911 calls

Dispatch reportedly received two hang-up 911 calls from a residence in the 1300 block of Elm Avenue in Wellman Tuesday morning. A deputy responded and was unable to locate anyone in the area. The address came back to a cell tower.

 

Welfare check

A welfare check was requested Tuesday morning on a subject in the 100 block of South Jefferson Street in Brighton whom the caller had been trying to contact since January. An officer was unable to locate anyone at the residence.

A male subject in his early to mid 20s was reported Wednesday morning stumbling across the four-ways at South Ninth Avenue and East Washington Street in Washington. An officer was unable to locate.

 

Civil dispute

A caller in the 600 block of South Iowa Avenue in Washington reported needing assistance Tuesday evening for two tenants not getting along. An officer responded. The subjects should be able to get along until one of the tenants moves out on Friday.

A caller in the 300 block of Center Street in West Chester reported Tuesday evening someone stole a dog. Officers responded. It was a civil issue. Officers attempted to locate the other party.

 

Civil standby

An officer reported Tuesday afternoon being out in the 400 block of South Marion Avenue in Washington assisting a subject with a civil standby
