Arrests

Jimmie Lee Stringer, 26, of Washington, was arrested Thursday afternoon in the 700 block of North Fifth Street in Belleville, Illinois, on two Washington County warrants, for dominion/control of firearm/offensive weapon by a felon, and violation of probation on original charge of prohibited acts manufacture, delivery, conspiracy or possession of marijuana.

Rebecca Lynn Lucas, 42, of Ainsworth, was arrested Thursday night in the 1700 block of East Washington Street in Washington on a charge of violation of probation on original charge of OWI, first offense.

Robert Franklin Seastrand, 37, of Riverside, was arrested Friday morning in the 3100 block of 115th Street in Riverside on a charge of sex offender violation, second or subsequent offense.

Traffic accident

A caller Thursday morning in the 1300 block of Highway 1 in Kalona reported hitting a deer earlier in the morning. The vehicle was drivable but damaged. An officer was advised for insurance purposes.

A caller Thursday night in the 500 block of Highway 1 in Washington reported that someone backed into their vehicle in the parking lot. An officer spoke with the caller. Documentation was made for insurance.

A caller Friday morning in the 2800 block of Highway 1 in Washington reported running over something in the roadway on Highway 1 north of Brighton, possibly a deer, with minor damage to the vehicle. An officer responded to check for debris in the roadway, and was unable to locate.

Traffic other

A caller Thursday morning in the 100 block of West Tyler Street in Washington reported that a tan car was blocking his mailbox and he was unable to get his mail delivered again on that day. An officer responded. Contact was made with the driver of the vehicle, who moved it.

Disabled vehicles

An officer reported being out with a vehicle, Thursday morning at Highway 1 and 170th Street in Washington. A subject was taking a nap and would be on her way.

An officer reported being out with a vehicle with its flashers on, Thursday night in the 1800 block of Highway 1 in Washington. The officer advised that they had a flat tire, with help on the way.

A deputy reported being out with a disabled vehicle, Thursday night at Highway 22 and Underwood Avenue in Riverside. The officer advised that it was unoccupied and added it to the system.

A deputy reported being out with a vehicle with a flat tire, Friday morning at Spruce Avenue and 280th Street in Washington. The officer advised that the vehicle was unoccupied, and added it to the system.

Animal complaint

A caller Wednesday morning in the 100 block of West Washington Street in Washington reported they had a bat in the business. The bat was retrieved and released.

Barking dog

A caller Thursday evening in the 300 block of D Avenue in Kalona reported a barking dog to the west of her residence. An officer responded and was unable to locate the dog.

Drug/narcotics violation

A deputy received a report of a suspicious male in the parking lot, Thursday afternoon in the 2100 block of Lexington Boulevard in Washington. Two additional officers also responded. A report will be filed.

All other offenses

Dispatch reported multiple calls in reference to subjects knocking on doors and ringing doorbells, Thursday night in the 800 block of Fourth Street in Kalona. An officer responded and checked the area and was unable to locate the subjects.
