Arrests

Joshua J. McRae, 31, of Rock Island, Illinois, was arrested Tuesday afternoon in the 500 block of Main Street in Anamosa on a Washington County warrant for failure to appear for initial on an original charge of soliciting without a permit.

Jacob Charles Morse, 19, of Davenport, was arrested Tuesday afternoon in the 500 block of Main Street in Anamosa on a Washington County warrant for failure to appear for initial on an original charge of soliciting without a permit.

Donald Eugene Williams Jr., 19, of Brighton was arrested Wednesday morning in the 600 block of West Fountain Street in Brighton on a Washington County warrant for disorderly conduct fighting or violent behavior.

Traffic accident

A caller Tuesday afternoon in the 2400 block of Highway 92 reported that a patient in the emergency room had been struck by a vehicle while loading groceries in the parking lot. An officer responded. A state report will be filed. The officer spoke with the driver and planned to meet with her again the next day after reviewing the store’s video.

A caller Tuesday night in the 2600 block of Highway 218 in Ainsworth reported a car-vs.-deer accident with no injuries to vehicle occupants. An officer and a towing service responded. The towing company towed the vehicle. The officer gave the driver a ride to the casino.

A caller Tuesday night in the 3100 block of Highway 22 in Riverside reported a car-vs.-deer accident and was unsure where the deer ended up. An officer located the deer nearby. The vehicle was drivable. Documentation was made.

Traffic other

An officer reported being flagged down about a parking complaint, Tuesday morning in the 100 block of East Main Street in Washington. A vehicle had been parked in the same location for three days. The officer chalked the tires, and the information was documented.

Animal complaint

A caller Tuesday evening in the 800 block of North Fourth Avenue in Washington reported that a male subject was walking his dog without a leash. An officer responded and checked the area and was unable to locate the subject or the dog.

Assault

Angelina Miller, of Washington, was cited into court for assault causing bodily injury, and disorderly conduct, Tuesday in regard to an incident which occurred on Nov. 5 in the 300 block of North Fourth Avenue in Washington.

A caller Tuesday afternoon in the 20 block of Parkside Estates Road in Washington reported that two subjects came into his house, and then his girlfriend wouldn’t give him his keys to his vehicle. Officers responded. The caller advised he was in a physical fight with a male subject who came into his house. A report will be filed. The subjects separated for the night.

Burglary

A caller Tuesday afternoon in the 2600 block of Wayland Road in Washington reported a break-in to his storage unit. The lock was missing, the door was open, and items were missing, including guitars and amplifiers. An officer spoke with the caller and planned to meet with him later in the day. A report will be filed.

A caller Tuesday night in the 2900 block of Coppock Road in Washington reported someone broke into his house and stole a Samsung 7 Edge cellphone and his Chevrolet Uplander. He had possible suspects. An officer responded and located the vehicle. The caller did not want to press charges on the individual who took the vehicle and the phone. Documentation was made.

Intimidation/harassment

An officer reported being at a residence in reference to an incident in Linn County, Tuesday morning in the 900 block of East Washington Street in Washington. The officer spoke with a male subject, and he was advised to have no further contact with the female subject.

A caller Tuesday night in the 1 block of Parkside Estates Road in Washington reported harassment. An officer spoke with the caller via PBX, and the incident was documented.

A caller Tuesday night in the 300 block of East Sycamore Street in Riverside reported harassing phone calls. An officer spoke with the caller via phone, and advised her to contact an attorney.

A caller Tuesday night in the 200 block of West Main Street in Washington reported harassment from her ex-boyfriend. An officer spoke with the caller via PBX, and she was advised to call when he returned.

Public intoxication

A caller Tuesday morning in the 300 block of South Fourth Avenue in Washington requested an officer to the office for a juvenile possibly under the influence. An officer responded. The mother was contacted and gave permission for the juvenile to be transported to her friend’s home. The juvenile will be charged with public intoxication, first offense.

Public service contacts

A caller Tuesday morning in the 1400 block of West Fifth Street in Washington reported a small girl, appearing to be about 9 to 11 years old, walking toward town and carrying a backpack. Officers responded. The subject was an adult, who was walking to a grocery store. There was no problem.

Runaways/missing person

A caller’s 74-year-old mother was reported as being missing for nearly two hours, Tuesday evening in the 1000 block of Vine Avenue in Riverside. She was described as being 5 feet 4 inches tall, with gray hair and glasses, and possibly wearing a blue sweatshirt and jeans. An officer and Riverside Fire and QRS responded, and located the female subject. She was fine and was released to her family.

Suspicious activity

A caller Tuesday afternoon in the 300 block of South Fourth Avenue in Washington reported that they had a video they would like to show an officer. An officer responded for documentation purposes.

Welfare check

A caller Tuesday afternoon in the 700 block of East Seventh Street in Washington requested a welfare check on her daughter. An officer responded and made contact with the subject, who was fine. She was advised to call her mother.

A caller Tuesday night in the 400 block of East Madison Street in Washington requested a welfare check. Officers responded. The subject was fine.

All other theft

A caller Tuesday morning in the 1500 block of 170th Street in Wellman reported identity theft involving an account with a television company, and requested documentation. An officer was advised for documentation purposes.

A caller Tuesday afternoon in the 300 block of South Iowa Avenue reported that more money was deducted from her bank account than the amount she withdrew, and requested an officer to respond. An officer responded. The incident was unfounded. It was the appropriate amount.

All other offenses

A caller Tuesday morning at East 15th Street and North Fifth Avenue in Washington reported two abandoned bicycles. An officer responded and transported a white and black Kent Ambush bicycle to the bike shed. Only one bike was located.

A caller Tuesday evening in the 300 block of South Iowa Avenue reported two small male subjects about age 8 or 9 in the alleyway hit the caller’s vehicle. An officer responded to the area and was unable to locate the juveniles.
