Traffic accidents

A vehicle vs. deer accident was reported Tuesday afternoon on Highway 218 south of Ainsworth. No injuries were reported. The deer left the area. The incident was documented.

A car vs. deer accident was reported Tuesday afternoon in the 1900 block of Vine Avenue in Ainsworth. No injuries were reported. The caller was advised to fill out a state accident report if damage was over $1,500.


All other thefts

A possible theft of oxycodone pills was reported Tuesday afternoon in the 100 block of Westview Drive in Washington. Officers responded and located the missing items.



Loud music was reported coming from a residence in the 600 block of East Washington Street in Washington Tuesday night. Officers responded. The music was not very loud. The music was shut off for the night.


All other offenses

A subject was reported on Highway 1 at 315th Street in Brighton walking too close to the side of the road and almost causing an accident Tuesday afternoon. Officers spoke with the subject.


Hang-up 911 calls

Dispatch reported receiving a call from a subject in the 300 block of North Iowa Avenue in Washington who stated he didn’t know what address he was at and the connection was lost. Dispatch tried to call back several times and the call went straight to voice mail. Officers were unable to locate.


Public service contact

An officer reported being at a residence in the 100 block of Washington Street in Crawfordsville Tuesday morning to assist the Department of Human Services. The incident was documented.
