Arrests

Adam Robert Cloyed, 29, of Fort Madison, was arrested Tuesday night in the 400 block of North Third in Burlington on a Washington County warrant for second-degree theft, shoplifting.

Traffic accident

Dispatch received several calls in reference to a deer hit in the roadway, and one caller requested a deer tag. An officer responded. A deer tag was issued to a Fairfield resident.

Disabled vehicles

A deputy reported being out with a disabled vehicle, Tuesday afternoon at Highway 22 and Poplar Boulevard in Kalona.  The deputy advised that they were on their way.

An officer reported being out with a vehicle with its hazard lights on, Tuesday afternoon in the 1100 block of East Washington Street in Washington. The officer advised that a towing service responded and removed the vehicle.

Burglary

A caller Tuesday morning in the 100 block of Fifth Street in Kalona reported her daughter’s apartment had been burglarized. An officer responded. A report will be filed.

A caller Tuesday morning in the 800 block of North Sixth Avenue in Washington reported that someone had gone through the vehicle parked in the driveway. An officer was advised. Money had been taken. Documentation was made.

A caller Tuesday afternoon in the 200 block of South Avenue H in Washington reported that someone got into his car on Saturday night. An officer was advised for documentation purposes.

Intimidation/harassment

A caller Tuesday morning in the 400 block of West Jefferson Street in Washington reported being harassed and threatened by a neighbor. An officer responded. Documentation was made.

Suspicious activity

A caller Tuesday afternoon in the 100 block of North Grant Street in Crawfordsville reported suspicious items at her ex-husband’s residence. Documentation only was made.

Trespass

A caller Tuesday afternoon in the 200 block of A Avenue in Kalona reported a female was in the area and had a no-trespassing order in the trailer court. An officer responded and checked the residence and was unable to locate anyone.

Welfare check

An officer reported a welfare check, Tuesday night in the 1100 block of East Second Street in Washington. Two additional officers responded. The house was dark and there were dogs barking inside the residence. No one answered the door. An officer left the resident a voice mail and planned to stop back later in the shift.

All other theft

A caller Tuesday afternoon in the 600 block of West Jefferson Street in Washington reported the theft of a battery from his travel trailer. An officer responded. The information was documented. Extra patrol was requested.

A caller Tuesday afternoon in the 1000 block of South Iowa Avenue in Washington reported money taken out of his vehicle in the garage. An officer responded. The theft had occurred sometime between the end of September and the beginning of October. The information was documented.

A caller Tuesday afternoon in the 1200 block of Maple Avenue in Kalona reported that a family member stole items from her. An officer responded and spoke with the caller. The information was documented at that time.

All other offenses

A caller Wednesday morning in the 300 block of Cedar Street in West Chester stated that she would like to speak with someone about having thoughts of harming herself. She also made a vague statement mentioning her boyfriend. The subject did not stay on the line. Officers responded. The female stated she had a verbal argument with her boyfriend, who left the residence before the officers’ arrival. She was feeling down earlier but stated she did not want to harm herself. Documentation was made at that time.
