Traffic accident

A caller Wednesday morning in the 100 block of East Washington Street in Washington reported one vehicle backed into another, with damages to the vehicles. There were no injuries. Damage was under $1,500. Photos were taken. No citations were issued.

Animal complaint

A caller Wednesday afternoon in the 500 block of South Marion Avenue in Washington requested assistance at a residence. Officers responded, and everything was fine.

Assault

A caller Wednesday night in the 300 block of West Street in West Chester reported she was assaulted by her mother and her stepfather. No medical attention was needed. Officers responded. The juvenile was transported to a family member’s residence for the night. The juvenile had no marks or injuries. DHS will be contacted.

A caller Thursday morning in the 1000 block of Second Street in Wellman reported that a male subject wouldn’t leave the residence. He also assaulted her. The caller then called in before the officer arrived, and advised that the male subject had left, possibly en route to Kalona. An officer responded and spoke with the caller. The officer advised that it was a verbal argument only. The parties were going to be separated for the rest of the night. The officer advised her of her options.

Intimidation/harassment

A caller Wednesday afternoon in the 200 block of North Van Buren Street in Brighton reported that she was being harassed at work, and requested to speak with a deputy. An officer spoke with both subjects, and the male party agreed to stay away from the caller and her place of employment.

Runaways/missing person

Subjects reported having located a missing person with a pickup order, Wednesday morning in the 200 block of South Capitol Street in Iowa City. A Washington County officer responded and transported the subject to the Washington County Hospital Emergency Room.

A caller Wednesday night in the 1500 block of Sixth Avenue North in Wellman reported that her 12-year-old daughter had sneaked out the upstairs window, and requested a deputy. She was last seen wearing light-colored jeans, high-top shoes and a black hoodie. The juvenile returned upon the officer’s arrival. The incident was referred to CWES.

A caller Thursday morning in the 400 block of East Second Street in Washington reported that her 14-year-old son was supposed to come home at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday night, but had not shown up. He had turned off his phone. He was possibly at a residence on West Washington Boulevard. An officer located the subject and gave him a ride home.

Sex offender

An officer reported a sex offender registration, Wednesday night in the 2100 block of Lexington Boulevard in Washington.

Sexual assault

A subject reported sexual assault, Thursday morning in the 3100 block of Highway 22 in Riverside. An officer spoke with the subject. The incident was documented.

Welfare check

A caller Wednesday morning in the 2200 block of 250th Street in Washington requested a welfare check. The subject was located and was fine.

A caller Wednesday night in the 1300 block of Tulip Avenue in Riverside requested a welfare check on her mother. She hadn’t spoken with her for a week and a half. An officer spoke with the mother, and she was fine. She didn’t have a phone at the time.

All other theft

A caller Wednesday afternoon in the 700 block of East 13th Street in Washington reported the theft of decorations in the past 10 minutes. An officer responded. Documentation only was taken for the time being.

All other offenses

A caller Thursday morning in the 1000 block of Second Street in Wellman reported that a male subject had returned to her residence and would not leave. An officer responded. The male subject was advised to leave, and if he came back that night he would be arrested for trespass.
