Arrests

Sergio Victoria Aguilar, 43, of Ottumwa, was arrested Tuesday morning in the 100 block of East Clay Street in Mount Pleasant on a Washington County warrant for revocation of pretrial release on original charge of second-degree theft.

Traffic accident

A caller Tuesday night in the 200 block of Highway 218 in Ainsworth reported a car vs. deer accident partially in the roadway, and requested a tow. A towing company responded and towed the vehicle and gave the subjects a ride to the Four Corners, where they were going to wait for a friend to come and pick them up.

Traffic stop serious

An officer reported being out with a vehicle stop, Tuesday afternoon in the 1300 block of West Madison Street in Washington. A juvenile female subject was cited for driving while suspended. She and the vehicle were picked up.

Fire calls

Two callers reported an electrical smell in the men’s bathroom, Tuesday afternoon in the 700 block of East Third Street in Washington. Washington Fire Department and an officer responded. The cause of the odor was from a juvenile setting a book on fire in the bathroom. The juvenile will be charged with fifth-degree criminal mischief. The juvenile was released to his parent.

Animal complaint

A caller Tuesday night in the 2500 block of Highway 218 in Ainsworth requested a deer tag. A deer tag was issued to a Burlington resident.

Fraud

A caller Tuesday afternoon in the 2800 block of Spruce Avenue in Crawfordsville reported that someone tried to fill out two credit cards in her name. The caller requested documentation. An officer was advised.

DP & Q

A caller Tuesday afternoon in the 700 block of East Third Street in Washington reported that a female subject was outside screaming obscenities and curse words nonstop, and no one was around. An officer responded. The subject was not outside any longer.

Family offense non-violent

A caller Wednesday morning in the 500 block of South Third Avenue in Washington reported hearing a possible domestic disturbance. Officers responded. It was a verbal domestic altercation. The parties agreed to separate inside the residence for the rest of the night.

Vandalism

A caller Tuesday morning in the 3100 block of Highway 92 in Ainsworth reported that a female slashed the tires on his black 2007 Chrysler 300. An officer responded. The caller was gone upon the officer’s arrival and was refusing to answer any calls. The incident was documented.

A caller Tuesday night in the 900 block of North Fifth Avenue in Washington reported damage to the windshield on his truck, which had happened within the past 30 minutes. An officer responded. Documentation was made.

All other theft

A caller Tuesday afternoon in the 200 block of West Harrison Street in Washington reported the theft of a self-propelled lawn mower since Friday. An officer responded. The lawn mower was entered into the system.

A caller Tuesday afternoon in the 300 block of West Monroe Street in Washington reported someone at her house about a theft. An officer located the property and returned it to the owner. There were no charges.

A caller Wednesday morning in the 2400 block of Highway 92 in Washington reported the Oct. 25 theft of an Apple IPZ worth $150. An officer responded. The information was documented.
