Arrests

Rebecca Lynn Lucas, 42, of Washington, was arrested Wednesday morning in the 200 block of West Main Street in Washington on a Washington County warrant for violation of probation on an original charge of possession of controlled substance, third or subsequent offense.

Krystal Lynn Stutzman, 26, of Washington, was arrested Wednesday night in the 2100 block of Lexington Boulevard in Washington on a Henry County warrant for failure to appear for arraignment on an original charge of driving while revoked.

Ashlee Ann Weimer, 28, of Washington, was arrested Wednesday night at Highway 92 and Underwood Avenue in Ainsworth on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Further charges are pending DCI Lab results.

Clarence Dean Pedersen, 64, of Washington, was arrested Wednesday night in the 1000 block of North Sixth Avenue in Washington on a charge of first-degree murder.

 

Traffic accident

A caller Wednesday afternoon in the 2400 block of Highway 92 in Washington reported a backing accident in the parking lot, involving a gray Dodge Nitro vs. a black Ford Ranger. An officer responded. The accident had occurred on private property. Damages amounted to less than $1,500, and drivers’ information was exchanged.

A caller Wednesday night in the 100 block of North Second Avenue in Washington reported that someone struck the back of his truck while it was parked. The taillights were broken, the bed was buckled, and the tailgate was dented. There was possible white paint transfer. An officer spoke with the caller. The incident was documented.

 

Traffic other

A caller Wednesday night at Nutmeg Avenue and 220th Street in Washington reported that a four-wheeler was being driven up and down Nutmeg Avenue. It was last seen traveling southbound. An officer spoke with subjects, who were counseled.

 

Disabled vehicles

An officer reported being out with a red Chevrolet van, Wednesday night at 190th Street and Birch Avenue in Keota. The vehicle was towed by a towing company, to be released upon payment of the tow bill.

 

Disorderly conduct

A caller Wednesday night in the 1100 block of East Washington Street in Washington reported that her roommate was out of control. Officers responded and spoke with the male party, who would be staying with his mother for the night and getting assistance the next day. The female caller would be staying elsewhere for the night.

 

Family offense nonviolent

A caller Wednesday morning in the 2600 block of Wayland Road in Washington reported wanting his son out of the residence after having a verbal argument. An officer responded. Both parties had calmed down and agreed to stay separated.

 

Homicide

A caller Wednesday morning in the 600 block of West Adams Street in Washington reported checking on a subject at the residence. Officers, an ambulance, and DCI responded. A report will be filed.

 

Intimidation/harassment

A caller Wednesday afternoon in the 100 block of Fifth Street in Kalona reported being harassed by an older white male. The caller provided the license plate number of the vehicle driven by the subject, and described the kind of construction shirt that he usually wore. The subject would ask the employer when she was going to be working, and waited for her outside her residence. An officer spoke with the caller. The male subject had been told by the caller’s employer to no longer come around the business. The caller agreed to call back if the subject returned.

 

Search warrant

An officer reported being at a residence conducting a search warrant, Wednesday afternoon in the 600 block of West Adams Street in Washington. The search warrant was executed.

 

Suspicious activity

A caller Wednesday night in the 400 block of East Washington Street in Washington reported that two male subjects attempted to break into her residence while her two daughters were home, about 20 minutes earlier. The caller requested to speak with an officer. The information was documented.

A caller Wednesday night in the 1700 block of Highway 92 in West Chester reported a car parked across the road from her house. It had been there for a while and had one headlight. The caller was not sure if they hit a deer. An officer checked the area and was unable to locate the vehicle.

A caller Wednesday night in the 1600 block of North Second Avenue in Washington reported that someone was pounding on her door, trying to get into her house. The caller was unsure if they were still out there, and requested an officer. An officer spoke with the caller. Documentation was made.

A caller Wednesday night at North Fourth Avenue and East Third Street in Washington reported that a suspicious vehicle was following them around. The caller was advised to park at the Police Department. Officers responded. The suspect vehicle stopped following the caller after she parked her vehicle. Officers attempted to locate the suspect vehicle but were unable to locate it.

 

Trespass

A caller Wednesday night in the 1000 block of West Main Street in Washington reported that a subject playing disc golf came onto the property. An officer spoke with the caller. The incident was documented.

 

All other theft

A caller Wednesday morning in the 1100 block of Vine Avenue in Riverside reported the theft of two Stihl chainsaws. An officer responded. A report will be filed. The chainsaws were entered into the system.
