Polling place parking not impacted

By Xiomara Levsen | Jun 02, 2014

Parking in the City of Washington shouldn’t be an issue Tuesday for the primary elections.
“Tomorrow shouldn’t be too bad,” said Washington City Clerk Illa Earnest. “The only thing is at the Old Library [also known as the former library] I think that’s a clinic day for [Washington County] public health.”
Registered voters in Ward 3 located in the City of Washington will have their polling place at the former library located at 120 E. Main St.
Residents wishing to vote at the Old Library can park out in front on East Main Street, Earnest said. None of the streets around the square will be blocked off.
Earnest also said she didn’t think parking would be an issue around the Washington County Courthouse on West Main Street either.
Polls open at 7 a.m. Tuesday morning for the primary elections, according to the Washington County Auditor’s office. They will remain open until 9 p.m.
