The Washington County Extension Office will host a Progressive Agriculture Safety Day. The camp will be held on Friday, June 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Washington County Fairgrounds. There is cost per child and it includes a T-shirt, goody bag, snacks, and safety information. All youth who have completed kindergarten through third grade are encouraged to attend. Highlights of the day include a variety of safety topics including: stranger danger, animal safety, fire safety, disability awareness, weather safety, sun safety, grain safety, lawn mower safety, equipment safety and much more. Participants will be able to test their knowledge of farm safety, their own reaction times in an emergency, and learn how to be safer in their communities.
