COUNCIL BLUFFS — The Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission is expected to make a decision on whether to grant a gaming license to the Cedar Rapids Development Group LLC to build a $164 million gaming structure called Cedar Crossing, which could take business from the Riverside Casino and Golf Resort.
According to the agenda, the commission will meet at 8:30 a.m. Thursday in the grand ballroom at Ameristar Casino in Council Bluffs. The decision on the Cedar Rapids casino is at the end of a lengthy agenda. Persons wishing to make a statement may sign a sheet upon entering the grand ballroom and can make a brief statement during the public comment time on the agenda.
