Michaela Hoffman, of Washington, is the daughter of Connie Hoffman-Svenby and CC Hoffman.

She attends Washington High School and is a member of the Washington Go-Getters 4-H club.

Her 4-H project is communications.

Michaela’s favorite 4-H memory is being chosen to go to the state fair and getting the judge’s choice award for her communications project.

“In 4-H I learned time management skills because I had to put together a presentation and have time to practice it before presenting it to my group and the judge at the fair,” Michaela said. “I also learned public speaking skills. Before I started giving presentations it was hard for me to get up and talk in front of a lot of people, but through years of communications project I learned how to overcome that and become a good public speaker.”

Her future plans are to attend Iowa State University to major in athletic training.
