Shining light on savings

The Southeast Iowa Solar Energy workshop was held today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Washington County Extension  Office on the Washington County Fairgrounds. Bill Haman, from the Iowa Energy Center, spoke to a packed room of farmers about solar energy and the low cost of installation on agricultural buildings. He said solar panels could be installed for as low as $3 a watt right now. He also said there are many incentives available to farmers interested in using solar panels on their agricultural buildings right now.
